OTO in the NRV
"Despite its name, the [New] river is considered by some geologists to be possibly the oldest river in the world, between 10 million and 360 million years old. According to local folklore, it is considered to be second in age only to the Nile River and thus the oldest in North America."
Southwestern Virginia's New River Valley includes Blacksburg - home to some recent and unusual goings.on - and Radford, a potential site of interest for you the researcher.
for 12 years, international brain scientist Karl Pribram set up shop at Radford University. why would an international brain scientist of his stature leave the likes of Yale and Stanford to do research at a lower-tier institution like Radford U.(before going co.ed, it began as a teaching college for women)?
[ EM mind control machines were championed at Stanford University
by Dr. Karl Pribram, director of the Neuropsychology Research
Laboratory: "I certainly could educate a child by putting an
electrode in the lateral hypothalmus and then selecting the
situations at which I stimulate it. In this was I can grossly
change his behavior." Psychology Today feted Pribram as "The
Magellan of Brain Science." He obtained his B.S. and M.D. degrees
at the University of Chicago, and at Stanford University studied
how the brain processes and stores sensory imagery. He is
credited with discovering that mental imaging bears a close
resemblance to hologram projection (the basis for transmitting
images to the craniums of test subjects under the misnomer
"remote viewing?"). ]
...but the town of Radford itself includes a most curious personality, Mr Robert E.L. "Bob" Shell:
http://www.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/w b/67980
...those are some details regarding the (possible) murder for which he'll be tried in the coming months.
what the ordinarily sensationalist press leaves out is Bob Shell's rather exotic history.
officially he is a photographer. in the mid 90's he was photographic consultant for the Fox network's hoaxy "Alien Autopsy" program.
in the 1970's he lived in Roanoke (a bit further east in the Blue Ridge Mountains). i find "Bob Shell of Roanoke" mentioned in Robert Anton Wilson's original Cosmic Trigger as a correspondent of the author's. but most extraordinary of all is his appearance in J. Gordon Melton's Encyclopedia of American Religions as one of four claimants to "Outer Headship" of the O.T.O. (the others, i believe, were situated in Brazil, London and Nashville).
and last year someone claiming to be Shell (who is relatively free until trial) posted this on the Web:
"Looks like I have been 'outed'. As head of the O.T.O., I carry on, of course, the sacred obligations of the Templars and the Priory of Sion. Alternative history can be real, after all.
'Alice' is the false name used by one of the evil ones who seek to put out the light and plunge all humanity back into the darkness."
in any case, i look forward to your writings/thoughts on the Va Tech shootings.
