Another Reactionary Move by Roanoke Times
...Leonard Pitts is on vacation / Roanoke Times asks itself, "what would William White do?" voila, they sub the Pitts column with one by Colorado prostitute and Fifth Columnist Jay Ambrose.

[ Not beholden to Atlantean phantasy, I offer these reflections on P.M. Arthur Balfour in its stead:

He was in the grip of a "whetted" interest and an unsatisfied "curiosity"; it sounds like a young girl's romantic feeling about love. He had not been elected to decide what "debt" Christianity owed to Judaism, or if he decided that one was owing, to effect its repayment, from a third party's funds, to some canvasser professing title to collect. If there were any identifiable debt and any rational cause to link his country with it, and he could convince the country of this, he might have had a case. Instead, he decided privately that there was a debt, and that he was entitled to choose between claimants in favour of a caller from Russia, when the mass of Jews in England repudiated any notion of such a debt. History does not tell of a stranger thing. ]

in Roanoke you mean? i would say that, across the board, no one here cared much one way or the other. Citizens first became aware of his presence in the Valley when his girlfriend charged him with blacking her eye. that kind of thing happens everyday, but the fact that it involved self-described "Maryland Nazis" made it news. soonafter, she presented herself to the media as a "newly reformed anti.racist." to a dispassionate observer, though, it looked like a lady wanting revenge on her ex / it also suggests that she wanted to *belong* to a movement - racialist, "anti.racist," whatever, just so long as it was a Movement. speaking of, White's case interested me. Southern Poverty Law Center (Morris Dees' outfit) was acting like White was the biggest hotdog on wheels within th'Movement, but if that's so, there ain't a whole helluva lot for Dees & Co. to be afraid of. i mean, it's like fucking Chip Berlet: guy has made an entire career out of demonizing Lyndon LaRouche / so, naturally, he makes LaRouche out t'be *far* more influential than he actually is. looking up White on the internet is an adventure in itself: accusations that he's an FBI informant (they're pleased to refer to him as "William Weiss"), but that goes with the territory: take three American Nazis and you get one "Commander," one follower and, yep, some guy who either is an informant and/or agent provocateur or is scheming on how to become one (oddly this phenom translates to UFO researchers as well !).
